1. This is a genealogy of the FAURE family in South Africa (and elsewhere, because a number left South Africa in the past) from Antoine Alexandre FAURE (1685-1736) who emigrated to South Africa in 1714 from Holland (having fled France previously).

2. The genealogy of the family before AAF is done but requires more research

3.The format of the family tree is as follows:

• The software used is MS PowerPoint (other standard genealogy software is not as flexible).
• It "grows" over about 140 slides from the oldest to the youngest.
• Where your name appears you are able to see your direct ancestors (and offspring).
• Each person has a “personal details” digital file (includes personal details, photographs, link to biography, etc) which is accessed by clicking on the name. (This, however, is not available here because of the size of the files.)

4. The entire digital package available to family members includes the family tree, the personal details files, as well as digital files on the sources used (in high resolution for the purpose further research), biographies, historical records, etc. The hyperlinks will be in place. The entire digital file is in excess of 1GB; this is why it is not available here. It will be made available on data DVD in the future once we have gathered in more individual information.

5. We have “personal details” files on every member of the family listed. Please email one of us and request your file for updating, adding photographs (100KB in size), etc. We also encourage you to write short biographies on your ancestors for inclusion in their files.
